As another September 11th arrives and the world inevitably recalls the tragic events of 2001, I am more acutely aware than usual today of how blessed and lucky I am. Our children are an ongoing source of joy, peace and a touch of craziness in our lives, every single day. So much of what I do, I do for these little people, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
The life that my husband and I have built together with our families and beautiful children continues to grow in love and joy every day. We have a business that keeps food on our table and a roof over our heads, we have access to the best of medical care, and we take good care of ourselves and each other. We live in a country of spacious beauty and freedom. How very blessed and lucky we are!
As we all go about our daily routines today, I hope that each of us is a wee bit more in touch with our blessings. In particular, to those of my friends who celebrate their birthday today, please remember that this date marked the joyous celebration of your birth, before it marked anything else. And to those of you who make visiting this blog part of your daily routine, thank you, and God bless.
