A great vacation!

With how unpredictable the weather has been this summer, we somehow managed to pick the best week of the entire year to go on vacation. Hooray! We had a wonderful time up at a resort on Honey Harbour, where the kids loved being in camp all days with other kids their age and the adults enjoyed having the day free to read by the pool, play a little round of golf, go for walks and just bask in the peace and quiet!

We were away for 5 days, and while the first few were windy, the rest were awesome. Doug and Nicole and their girls were in the room right beside us. We had dinners together and took this tour on the Miss Midland (left) together. The evening shows were great - Stephen and Doug even tried (unsuccessfully) to be hypnotized!
Then on Thursday morning, Leanne and Pete sailed into Honey Harbour and picked us for a day sailing on their boat. We had a fantastic time! Look at the concentration on Evan's face as he controls the boat - he soaked it all in so quickly and had a great time. Even the girls had their turn at the wheel!
And of course, the kids loved playing with Leanne and Pete's sweet dog, Bailey, and I think Bailey had a great time too. Good weather, good company, good food, good friends and a ton of fun - what more could a family want from a vacation?! I guess maybe just a few good photos - or is that just me? :-}

I hope your family's vacation is as fun-filled and action-packed as ours!

Great pics Holly!! It's so funny....Dakota has the same two sweatshirts that your girls do! Children's Place...right? Also, I just have to say that that of Evan would be MOST AMAZING scrapped on that sailboat paper from My Little Yellow Bicycle from the Zach's Life life! What an amazing photo it is!

Holly, I will never forget the day of fun we had with your wonderful family. Your children are an absolute delight. Pete really enjoyed teaching Evan at the wheel -- he commented on what a bright kid he is and how he really caught on quickly. :) And Alicia and Vanessa ... could they be any cuter?! Steve is such a great guy too -- I know Pete really enjoyed getting to know him better.

Of course, I would love to get these photos from you high res so I can scrapbook them!

Sounds like you had a great time. We loved it up there too when we went a few years ago.

Enjoy Arizona!
